Albeins – Brixen’s southern door

Albeins – Brixen’s southern door

Small but fine – this is how we could describe our village. Albeins is the southernmost village of the municipality of the ancient diocesan town of Brixen and has a population of about 600 people. In Albeins, the blossoming of spring is perceived much earlier than in most other villages around Brixen and the colourful autumn extends itself much longer than in other parts.

Viewed in economic terms, agriculture is of particular importance to the village. There are about 20 dairy farms, fruit growing farms and wine producing farms in Albeins.
Not only from a historic point of view has the village a lot to offer. In fact, the tiny village is also an ideal starting point for numerous hikes and excursions.

Brixen – a Town of Culture and Tradition

Brixen – a Town of Culture and Tradition

Hardly any other town in South Tyrol has managed to preserve its charming flair in such a unique way as the ancient diocesan town situated at the Eisack river. In Brixen, images from the past are conjured up in every corner. The hustle and bustle of city life and the town’s long-standing tradition merge into a harmonious unity. Thus, Brixen is well worth seeing: leisurely strolling through the narrow streets past shops and traditional restaurants is always an exciting experience.
The winters are mild and the summers are full of southern vigour. Grapevines and chestnuts are harbingers of Mediterranean charm, the majestic beauty of the Dolomites with their trails and ski slopes lies within sight.
